Where we are
You will find us at the top of Krosna, tucked into the woods in the Beskid Wyspowy, at almost 500 m above sea level. The land borders a Natura 2000 area, so the feeling here is quiet, green, and gently removed from everyday noise.
Although it feels hidden away, getting here from Kraków is still straightforward enough for a short escape from the city. That balance is exactly why we love this place: you can swap traffic, screens, and apartment blocks for trees, hills, stars, and real dark silence.
We moved here in 2019 to an old cottage with very few comforts in place and have spent the years since slowly rebuilding our home and shaping this corner of Krosna into our own little sanctuary in the mountains. We really did rebuild our house ourselves, with help from our wonderful neighbours, and have gradually created a way of life here that feels both simpler and more grounded. If you ask, Tim will tell you a story about every part of the house and land, and he may not stop with the details. He works from his workshop here and keeps everything running year-round, including winter snow-clearing with his little tractor. The TinyHouse grew out of that same life here: a chance to share a private slice of our homestead with guests who want nature, peace, and a little more character than a standard stay can offer.
While our own house is nearby, The TinyHouse has its own private area of the homestead for you to enjoy, so your stay still feels tucked away and your time here still feels like your own.
Open our guest map — parking spots, the final stretch of road, and meeting points are all marked there. You can also view the location on Google Maps.
Parking & the last stretch
The last part of the approach is one reason The TinyHouse feels so secluded: the road becomes narrower, steeper, and partly unpaved as you climb into the woods. It is absolutely manageable once you know what to expect, but it is better treated as a small mountain approach than an ordinary suburban driveway.
Covered parking is available about 30 m from The TinyHouse for guests who are comfortable driving all the way up.
If your car has low ground clearance, please use Parking B and walk the last ~200 m to the house. The path is uphill. The walk itself is not long, but we recommend not carrying heavy luggage up the slope. Let us know in advance and we will help with your bags, meet you at Parking B, or arrange a lift up to the house.
We can also arrange pick-up from other points when agreed beforehand — just tell us before you travel.
Winter
If you do not have four-wheel drive and snow chains that you know how to fit and use safely, please leave your car at Parking B and do not attempt the drive up to the house.
If there is a lot of snow on the ground, or you are not an experienced winter driver, please leave your car at the public parking in Krosna, opposite the church. We will collect you there.
Local roads are steep and winding, and that is part of what keeps this corner of Krosna feeling quiet and hidden. In heavier snow, chains may still be necessary even with a 4×4. If you are unsure, it is always better to park lower down and ask us — we would much rather come and meet you than have your car stuck on the hill, even if a few guests have accidentally turned it into part of the adventure. Memorable, yes. Recommended, no 🙈
In winter, we stay in touch about weather and road conditions before and during your stay, so you should not need to worry about last-minute surprises.
Travelling without a car
You do not need a car to escape here. Buses from Kraków stop in both Laskowa and Żegocina, and by prior arrangement we can pick you up from either stop.
Please confirm your pickup time with us before you travel so we can plan around the bus schedule.
